Dr Punitha did her medical degree (1995), diploma (1999) & masters in ENT(2001) from Dr MGR medical university , Chennai , India. She moved to UK in 2001 & finished MRCGP & DFFP in UK. She has got nearly 20 years of General Practice experience from UK. She was women's health & family planning lead & GP educator for the training practice she worked.

Dr Punitha wanted a change of scenery & hence recently moved to Australia with her husband and 2 children to continue General practice here .

Outside work , her interests are running , hiking , Karate, dancing &  spending time with family.  She managed her dream 'London marathon 2024'. She started with Xmas day parkrun at Rocky, where she plans to run regularly but had already set her eyes on Sydney marathon.
